Kellye Parks, Owner

Kellye Parks, owner and director of Terpsichore…a moving experience received her B.A. in Ballet Pedagogy from Brenau University in 1984, and went on to graduate from UNC-Greensboro with a M.F.A. in Dance/ Choreography in 1987.  Ms. Parks taught dance under the Basic Education Plan for Moore County  Schools, as well as for the Public Schools of Robeson County. She has been affiliated with such professional organizations as the North Carolina Dance Alliance and the N.C. Department of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, & Dance.  Ms. Parks and husband Albert reside in Raeford with their two children Garrett, age 22, and Kasey, age 17. The Parks family is proud to begin their twenty-third successful year with Terpsichore…a moving experience.

Terpsichore Instructors

Leigh Blanton, ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, acrobatics and contemporary dance instructor is enjoying her fifth year at Terpsichore.  She earned her B.A. Degree in Dance from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Leigh has danced for over 20 years and still loves it! She is a current performing member of Nosi Dance Theatre in Durham, which tours throughout the Southeast.   She and her husband Chase reside in Southern Pines, along with their daughter Natalie and son Nick.

Danna Bullock, acrobatics, creative movement, ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, and adult dance instructor brings a wealth of teaching experience to Terpsichore. She earned her B.S degree in Dance Education from UNC-Greensboro she also performed as a member of the Prime Movers Dance Company. After a ten year position as lead instructor at the Harris YMCA in Charlotte, she moved to Virginia where she owned and operated her own studio. She has continued her education throughout the years attending workshops, camps, conventions, master classes and competitions with her colleagues and students. Danna is also a full time Real Estate Broker with Coldwell Banker Advantage in Southern Pines.

Morgan Vogel, recently moved to the area from NYC where she earned her BFA in dance performance and minor in business from Adelphi University. She has performed works by choreographers such as Orion Duckstein (Paul Taylor Dance Company), Jennifer Kreichman (American Ballet Theatre), Catherine Denisot-Lawrence (Netherlands Dance Theatre) and many others. She has travelled with World Dance Movement to Bari, Italy where she had the opportunity to perform in their summer gala with pieces choreographed my Desmond Richardson and Bruno Collinet. Currently she is dancing with Tobacco Road Dance Productions in Durham, NC where you can see her perform this coming March. Morgan is extremely grateful and excited to be teaching at Terpsichore and wants to thank Kellye and the rest of the Terpsichore family for the opportunity and for welcoming her to the area.

Heather D’Arnell, a graduate from the University of Washington, Seattle holding degrees in dance and drama.  Heather specializes in acro, jazz, tap and hip hop.  She toured the Northwest with Radio Disney’s Rockin’ Road Show, opened for various concerts and is an accomplished musical theatre and contemporary choreographer both on the competition circuit and off.  She is best known for her storytelling through dance.  She currently teaches both recreational and competition dancers in Fayetteville and Southern Pines.

Cinnamon Le Blanc-Johnson, children’s ballet, pilates, and dance instructor, is currently serving as the Facility Manager with First Health/Health and Fitness in Southern Pines, where she is a certified Yoga, Pilates, and Dance Exercise Instructor, as well a  personal trainer.  Cinnamon’s dance background includes extensive study in RAD ballet technique, jazz, ethnic, and modern dance.  She served as Artistic Director of the Right Angle Left Dance Company in California, and is very active in Community Theatre in Southern Pines.  Cinnamon and husband Rick, reside in Southern Pines.
